The World Ort Future Leaders Program is a nine-month leadership training program to develop a new generation of young leaders for Jewish communities in Europe and the FSU. An international selection of people aged between 15 and 16 years old, with potential to become leaders, will be chosen to participate in the heavily subsidized program. The deadline for completing applications is Tuesday January 4, 2011.

The Future Leaders Program is made of three components:

  • The Future Leaders Training Seminar in London - Sunday 20th - Friday 25th February, 2011

Participants will spend 5 days on a residential seminar in London. It will be run and organised by World ORT and led by experienced youth leaders.

  •  Online study course, local mentoring and local project assignments – February, 2011 to September, 2011

This part of the program is made up of three parts:
     an online study course
     local mentoring activities
     local project assignments

  •  The Future Leaders Summer Scheme, Israel - Sunday August 7th to Friday August 26, 2011

The summer scheme is the penultimate part of the Future Leaders program. Participants will spend three weeks in Israel completing their development.

By the end of the Future Leaders program, participants will have made new lifelong friends from across the world, will have learned important leadership skills, will have learned about their own Jewish community and about other communities around the world and will be confident and effective leaders in their Jewish communities.

Future Leaders Program is a World ORT project supported by The Israeli Ministry of Diaspora Affairs and The European Jewish Fund.
