39 Melachot is the story of a boy studying for a test on the Melachot of Shabbat. His Rebbi appears and takes him on a hands-on tour of all 39 Melachot of Shabbat. While geared primarily for the upper elementary school student, anyone learning sugyot of Shabbat will gain from visually seeing the way things were done in the past. Included are the entire sidura d’pat (bread-making) a clear explanation of the loom and the entire cloth making process.

Rabbi Eliezer Kessler, thanks to a grant he received from The AVI CHAI Foundation, produced the video "39 Melachot" which can now be viewed or/and downloaded from torahanytime.com and from chinuch.org While the viewing experiences are similar, Chinuch.org has a better quality download.

At the length of 30 minutes this video can be used as an introduction to a unit on the 39 Melachot or as a summary of the unit.
