JconnecT is an online supplemental Hebrew school for grades 6-12 that harnesses the power of technology to provide new opportunities for both Jewish education and Jewish socialization. JconnecT offers two dynamic, live, weekly study sessions with an experienced teacher in Jerusalem via a web based online platform that provides full audio and video conferencing for up to 10 students per group. Sessions analyze Jewish leadership from ancient to modern times, and Jewish perspectives on current issues that impact the global Jewish community and society at large. These discussion based sessions, along with two Shabbatons held in Memphis, TN, create a vibrant social, educational community of Jewish learning. In addition, JconnecT offers self-paced online courses that examine Hebrew language, Israeli culture, Jewish history, and classical Jewish texts.

JconnecT is off to its exciting second year, from Sept-May, connecting students in grades 6-11 from Los Angeles, Vancouver, Birmingham, Jacksonville, West Orange, and Kansas City, and constantly adding. This year's theme is LEADERSHIP. JconnecT offers two live, synchronous, Sunday morning classes with teachers in Jerusalem and two self-paced, asynchronous courses. Registration is ongoing.

First session begins Sept 11, 2011, continuing through the academic school year until May 20, 2012. There will be no sessions on American and Jewish holidays.
