JESNA's Learnings & Consultation Center released a new issue of Quick Bytes on Outdoor Education. As Outdoor Education creates a buzz in the Jewish world, Quick Bytes offers a collection of resources to help Jewish educational leadership learn about and utilize it in their programs.
Quick Bytes tells of foundations that have supported the creation of new Jewish camps and educational institutions including supplemental schools and day schools that have been trying to figure out how to incorporate new, nature-based learning into their curriculum. It provides readers with an understanding of what exactly is outdoor Jewish education, what are its theoretical frameworks that generate success, and how we can replicate best practices in our own institutions.
It also includes a link to a current webinar dealing with outdoor education and its application for educators in all settings.
