Register now for Facing History and Ourselves' Spring 2013 online seminar, Educators in a Jewish Setting: Holocaust and Human Behavior. During this eight-week (January 17-March 13, 2013), self-paced online course, participants will explore the connection between Jewish History and identity along with the moral questions inherent in everyday life.
This online course is designed specifically for educators who teach in Jewish Day Schools, Hebrew Schools, or other Jewish settings. We are pleased to be able to offer each participant a scholarship to cover the online course tuition. This educator training project has been supported by a grant from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims against Germany. Please note, there is a $50 registration fee.
This online course takes Facing History's core case study on the rise of the Nazis and the Holocaust, and weaves in Jewish texts and stories on relevant themes and topics, such as bystander behavior, obedience, rescuers and resisters, and civic participation. This online course includes a live conference call with a Holocaust survivor.
Educators in a Jewish Setting: Holocaust and Human Behavior is an eight-week online course in which participants will explore the connection between Jewish History and identity along with the moral questions inherent in everyday life. Participants will learn multidisciplinary pedagogical approaches for teaching a course on the Holocaust that is grounded in a study of Jewish ethics and values.
