The World Zionist Organization invites Jewish educators to participate in 8 days of professional development in Israel (July 8-15, 2015), From Altnueland to Tel Aviv: Vision, Reality, Tomorrow. This will be an in-service seminar grounded in a narrative of Israel education that understands the State of Israel as a work-in-progress, aimed at inspiring our learners to explore today's realities both against the background of the dreams of its visionaries and in light of the efforts of those who today are striving to fulfill them.

This seminar:

  • is for all Jewish educators committed to the importance of Israel in the development of the Jewish identity of the next generation.
  • provides an enriching experiential program focusing on contemporary issues in Israeli society with a variety of personalized hands-on workshops geared towards meeting individual pedagogic needs.
  • provides engagement with colleagues from Israel and around the world working in both formal and experiential frameworks and representing diverse backgrounds and religious orientations.

The registration fee of $150 includes 7 nights of accommodation (double occupancy), most meals throughout the program, and all program elements and materials. Personal insurance and transportation to and from the conference are not included in the fee.

The program will be conducted in English.
