The William Davidson Graduate School of Jewish Education and the Department of Hebrew Language of The Jewish Theological Seminary are offering a unique opportunity in the summer of 2008. They are providing a Hebrew-immersion program for teaching the Judaic curriculum in day school grades kindergarten through twelve for fifteen qualified day school teachers.

The Ivriyon is a Hebrew immersion program for k-12 teachers of all affiliations held at the Jewish Theological Seminary in NYC from June 30th to July 25th 2008. The aim of the program is to train teachers to teach Judaic studies in Hebrew.

The program is coordinated and taught by native Hebrew speakers, with many years' experience of teaching Hebrew as a second language to adults.

The program is entirely free for qualified day school teachers and graduate students completing an MA degree in Jewish Studies who plan to teach in a day school, thanks to a grant from the Avi Chai Foundation.
