The 64th Annual Jewish Educators Assembly Conference will take place from Monday through Thursday, January 25-28, 2016 at the Westin Mount Laurel Hotel near Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Our theme this year will be "Back to the Future" as we struggle with the challenge of incorporating basic learning skills and benchmarks into the many new models of Jewish education that are evolving. Plan now on joining with your colleagues from across North America and Israel for an outstanding few days of learning and growing together!

The JEA Conference is the premier educational conference for Conservative movement educators:

  • Congregational School Principals
  • Early Childhood Educators Day School Principals
  • Family and Informal Educators Bureau and Agency Educators

About Our Conference Theme:

Change. Innovate. Re-imagine. Redesign. Re-invigorate. Many of us have heeded the call to rethink our basic educational structures and delivery systems. What worked in the ‘60’s, ‘70’s and ‘80’s doesn’t work in 2016. Our world functions differently and the essence of our synagogues and communities has changed. Yet one thing remains the same – our need to teach Hebrew reading and siddur skills, a bit of chumash and a touch of Jewish history. Some may long for days of old, but we are compelled to look ahead. In 2016, how do we incorporate and integrate the teaching of basic skills with the new models of Jewish education?

Join us as we learn from five leading field practitioners who have been on the cutting edge of the new models. Gain further insights from the perspectives of two of our senior academics, Dr. Bill Robinson and Dr. Saul Wachs. Together we will all go Back to the Future!
