The AVI CHAI foundation will be hosting a webinar Tuesday, September 20, 2016, 1-2pm EST led by Dr. Michael Berger on the challenges and possibilities of Hebrew language education in Jewish day schools. The webinar features day school leaders whose work was highlighted in the case study series “How Schools Enact Their Jewish Missions.”

The AVI CHAI Foundation released 20 case studies exploring how Jewish day schools enact their Jewish missions. Hosted by Dr. Michael Berger, Program Officer at The AVI CHAI Foundation, this webinar will feature two school leaders who participated in the work of schools that were highlighted in case studies about one issue that the studies brought to life: the challenges and possibilities of Hebrew language education in Jewish day schools:

Stan Beiner is a consultant to non-profit organizations and schools. Previously, he served as Head of The Epstein School, featured in the case study "Meshuga La Davar: Hebrew," by Dr. Michael Berger and Pearl Mattenson.

Rabbi Dr. Joyce Raynor is the Head of School of the Dr. Miriam and Sheldon G. Adelson Educational Campus in Las Vegas, NV. Previously, she served as Head of School of the Golda Och Academy in West Orange, NJ, featured in the case study "A School That Places Israel at Its Center" by Dr. Jack Wertheimer.

We hope you will encourage your school’s leadership team, lay leaders, and others in your community who care about day schools to attend and explore this topic together.
