The Museum of Jewish Heritage - A Living Memorial to the Holocaust invites Jewish middle schools to participate in the Living Museum project. A special two day training session on August 18-19, 2008 at the Museum in New York City is being held to enable educators in Jewish schools to bring this project into their classrooms in the fall 2008 semeste.

The Living Museum engages fifth and sixth grade students in an investigation of Jewish heritage through study of family heirlooms, interviewing relatives, and creating both an in-school museum and an online museum. With the support of the Covenant Foundation, the Living Museum has been successfully implemented in day and congregational schools across the United States and Canada.

Applications are currently being accepted for participation in the project and the training session.. To receive an application or to learn more about the program, contact Dr. Paul Radensky, Museum Educator for Jewish Schools at the Museum of Jewish Heritage - A Living Memorial to the Holocaust.
