The CIE Teen Israel Leadership Institute program to be held on December 6-8, 2019, offered by the Atlanta based Center for Israel Education in partnership with the Emory University Institute for the Study for Modern Israel, Jewish Teen Education and Engagement Network (JTEEN), JumpSpark, and Emory Hillel will enhance Israel knowledge among Jewish teens and provide them with valuable skills for sharing that knowledge with others. The program is for all students who are in grades 10 – 12.

There are three components in the program:

  • A weekend retreat
     
  • 2 webinars
     
  • A project to be shared with a local Jewish community school, congregation, or organization

During the retreat, participants will engage in wide variety of learning sessions and experiences.
All participants will be required to create an Israel learning program for their community, synagogue or youth group. Projects can vary from a one-time educational program to an ongoing series. Projects can be collaboratively devised. Staff will mentor students in the creation and delivery of their projects. Following the seminar, there will be two webinar educational sessions.

Cost and Application:
The CIE Teen Israel Leadership Institute costs $100 per participant.

Accepted participants are responsible for their own travel to and from Atlanta from their home community. A special travel stipend of up to $200 is available to each participant.
All lodging, Kosher food and program materials are included in the price.
