One of the most important things Jewish educators can do is model life-long learning. Using the summer months to invest in yourself as a learner and as a professional is an effective way to grow as an educator, deepen your impact on students, and remain inspired! See below for more information about Pardes’ various summer professional development opportunities.

  • Senior Educator Learning Fellowship  This exclusive 13-month fellowship will inspire senior congregational school educators (principals and veteran teachers) with ongoing Jewish learning and equip them with new approaches for engaging with real-world challenges using Jewish texts. Begins this summer online with an online learning intensive; continues with monthly webinars throughout the year; and culminates in a funded study trip to Israel in summer 2022!

  • Essential Judaism for Educators This four-week program provides experiential educators and Jewish professionals a grounding in Jewish text, customs and rituals. Through a combination of interactive online classes, paired-learning (havruta) and independent readings participants will emerge feeling equipped to more skillfully incorporate Jewish texts and themes into their teaching and workplace culture.

  • Adult Educators Bootcamp This eight-day Bootcamp trains rabbinical students and other emerging Jewish adult educators in the art of crafting and facilitating an interactive text study/shiur for adult learners. Participants will gain practical skills, workshop them, and then practice teaching their newly designed session.
