During February 2009 school vacation, several teachers at the Billy Dalwin Pre-School of Temple Emunah in Lexington MA will travel to Israel to engage in a dynamic professional workshop with some of the best early childhood educators in Boston and Haifa. This 10-day study mission is the latest in the seven-year history of the Boston Haifa Early Childhood Educators (ECE) Exchange.

The Exchange is a partnership between teachers and classrooms in both cities. Each year, several teachers and directors are selected to travel to their sister city to observe in classrooms, collaborate on curriculum, and present the newest ideas in best teaching practices.

At the workshop the teachers will deal with special education, diversity in the classroom, family education, and other topics relevant to early childhood educators.

The trip is planned from Feb. 11 to Feb. 22, 2009.

Following the trip, teachers will host an Israel Curriculum Night at the preschool, where parents will be introduced to the new Israel activities in which their children will participate in their classrooms.
