Recently, Caren Levine blogged about resources helpful to Jewish educators interested in integrating interactive whiteboards in Jewish study lessons. Among the resources listed are the Legacy Heritage Smart Board Jewish Educational Database (SJED), the Smart Boards in Jewish Education wiki and the SMART Exchange.

SJED contains a large and growing database (650+) of interactive Smart Board lessons submitted by Jewish educators from across the United States. Educators may download and upload lessons, free of charge, in any Judaic or secular subject.

SJED is searchable by topic, language, and grade and allows users to download Smart Board lessons that can be used or adapted for any school. Users may also submit a lesson for posting, subject to review.

The Smart Boards in Jewish Education Wiki, is run by Legacy Heritage Fund, Center for Initiatives in Jewish Education and The AVI CHAI Foundation who are collaborating to advance best use of interactive whiteboards, and most particularly Smart Boards, in Jewish education. This project is designed to give teachers in Jewish schools ideas, training, and resources with links to helpful information and lesson plan databases.

SMART Exchange is SMART’s own educational resource center which connects educators to each other and to content in secular subjects.
