JData.com is a groundbreaking online database offering Jewish educators across North America unprecedented high-quality, reliable, and practical information. Sponsored by the Jim Joseph Foundation and operated by the Cohen Center for Modern Jewish Studies at Brandeis University, JData allows educational organizations to enter their data into a standardized profile form and to easily produce reports and analyses based on both their own organizations' data and the aggregated data of comparable organizations across North America. This previously inaccessible information can be used in planning, communications, public relations, and recruitment.
JData is organized by educational sector – including organizational types ranging from part-time and day schools to summer camps to university departments – and by community. Additionally, JData is a longitudinal tool, allowing users to compare data across years to better understand organizational and community-wide changes and trends. In time, every North American organization involved in Jewish education will literally be on the JData map.

Organizations with profiles appear in the JData Directory, which allows users to communicate and network.

Applying the JData Research tools, users can obtain comparison reports to benchmark their organizations against others on both community and national levels, as well as produce customized analyses of any field in the profile report.

In the Ideas section, JData features innovative and exciting organizations and practices in the field of Jewish education.
JDATA is funded with $1.5 million from the Jim Joseph Foundation and has been developed over the past two years. Since 2009, JData has been working with local Jewish federations and central agencies for Jewish education to gather data from all Jewish educational organizations within their catchment areas. JData is currently active in communities throughout North America including Atlanta, Boston, Cleveland, Detroit, Los Angeles, Miami, Northern New Jersey, Palm Beach County, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, San Diego, San Francisco, St. Louis and Washington, DC.
