The Ethical Creativity Institute (ECI) is a weeklong (June 15-19, 2020) professional development and curriculum design program created and hosted by The Brandeis School of San Francisco that combines the emergent fields of design thinking, tinkering, and constructionist education with Jewish traditions and ethical frameworks.

Over 300 Jewish educators and community leaders from across North America took on the role of student at The Jewish Education Project’s Jewish Futures Conference. Educators, Jewish communal professionals, and community leaders studied with experts on anti-Semitism, trauma, mindfulness, and internet culture at New York University’s Kimmel University Center on Wednesday (Dec. 4, 2019). Together, participants discussed and debated the conference theme of “Pride and Prejudice: Jewish Education's Battle Amid Growing Anti-Semitism”.

The Tikvah Summer Fellowship aims to inspire and empower young men and women to lead lives of Jewish purpose and leadership. In their eight weeks of residence with the Tikvah Fund (June 14–August 13, 2020), students will learn from great professors and meet public figures and religious leaders who straddle the worlds of academic research and active engagement in Jewish affairs. They will also undertake an independent research project or internship, suited to their own interests and exposing them to difficult practical challenges faced by Jewish leaders today.

The CIE Teen Israel Leadership Institute program to be held on December 6-8, 2019, offered by the Atlanta based Center for Israel Education in partnership with the Emory University Institute for the Study for Modern Israel, Jewish Teen Education and Engagement Network (JTEEN), JumpSpark, and Emory Hillel will enhance Israel knowledge among Jewish teens and provide them with valuable skills for sharing that knowledge with others. The program is for all students who are in grades 10 – 12.

For many Jewish families in Russia, PJ Library is the only regular Jewish experience they have for their children. Though books delivered directly to homes throughout Russia, incorporating PJ Library into education and community programming has been instrumental to the program’s success. From classroom learning to workshops and activities, hundreds of Jewish teachers and educators across Russia are using PJ Library books to engage children.

The 7th Annual Hebrew Conference of North America is a continuation of a tradition initiated by the World Zionist Organization and is done in cooperation with the Council for Hebrew Language and Culture in North America and the North American Association of Hebrew Teachers (NAHeT). The Hebrew Conference literally celebrates the importance of Hebrew as a language, as a culture and as a key to identity. During these two days, November 17-18, 2019, in Newark NJ, there will be lectures, panels, and workshops dealing with Hebrew and the teaching of the language in all its aspects, ideology and methodology, inspirational sessions, practical tools and more. The theme of this year's conference is - Hebrew – The Time is Now! and will deal with the state of Hebrew instruction in North America, formulating ways of coping with the current challenges, and expanding the professional knowledge of Hebrew teachers - both in theory and in practice.
