The Untold Stories – The Murder Sites of the Jews in the Occupied Territories of the Former USSR

A new, comprehensive research project documenting 101 killing sites in the areas of the former Soviet Union has been uploaded to Yad Vashem’s website. Marking Holocaust Remembrance Day, “The Untold Stories: The Murder Sites of the Jews in the Former USSR” chronicles the murders of thousands of Jews by the Nazis and their collaborators in 51 different communities whose Jewish populations were massacred during the Holocaust.

Bless the Sun - Birkat HaHammah

Every 28 years, the Jewish community celebrates the return of the sun to its original place in the heavens at the precise time and day of its creation. This celebration is called Birkat Hahammah - blessing of the Sun. The next date on which we mark this moment is April 8, 2009, the day before Passover. This site, developed by a coalition of Jewish environmental organizations, is dedicated to help mark this amazing day.

An Ethical Start – A PreSchool Curriculum

An Ethical Start is an ethics curriculum for preschool children, parents, and teachers developed by the Jewish Community Center Association based on the ancient Jewish text, Pirkei Avot. The program is developed through exploration of the text, “Ethics of Our Fathers”, environmental enhancements, multi-media exploration through music, books, Peer K doll and the emergent curriculum. It is presently implemented in 40 JCCA preschools nationwide.

Eco–Jews – Traditions and Trends in Jewish Environmentalism

The Jewish Online Lexicon (Hebrew)

CET has completed development of a unique online resource – The Jewish Lexicon, which contains over a thousand entries in Hebrew based on the cultural work of the Jewish People over 3000 years of history in their land and in the Diaspora. About 200 entries are expanded entries (about 1200 words) divided into secondary entries. Over 800 entries are concise (about 300 words). The information in the lexicon is presented in a friendly format, but is accurate and reliable containing references, explanatory notes and links to both external and internal resources.
