 Two Schools in Argentina Provide Model for Jewish Education
The ORT Belgrano and Almagro schools are large Jewish technical junior high and high schools in Buenos Aires providing state of the art science and technological education along with a mandatory Jewish studies curriculum. The high academic level of the schools attracts many students who otherwise might not have experienced a Jewish education. These pluralistic, Jewish institutions whose attractiveness lies in the extraordinary academic opportunities they provide could serve as a model for making Jewish education appealing to unengaged Jewish families in other communities.

 Teaching About the Holocaust – An Online Workshop
This online workshop includes video segments from a workshop presented in Baltimore, Maryland. The guidelines and methodological suggestions in these video segments are at the core of every teacher workshop and conference presented by the Museum. They are offered here for teachers who are unable to attend a professional development program presented by the Museum. In addition to video of the actual workshop session, segments include historical and artifact photographs, text, and links to related sites within the Museum’s Web site.

 The Jewish Community's Guide to Understanding Teens
In 2005, BBYO commissioned a survey by Teenage Research Unlimited (TRU), the leading researcher of teens, tweens and twenty-somethings, in order to better understand teen views on religion. BBYO has spent the last several years following teen trends and culling through teen research – both secular and Jewish. This updated report, a compilation of secondary resources, reflects the most recent findings. The report focuses on teenagers, while also providing information on “tween” trends to increase the understanding of this younger, pre-high school demographic.

 True Joy through Water – Online Succot and Shmini Atzeret
For the fourth year, Canfei Nesharim is appreciating the importance of water through our annual Sukkot project, True Joy Through Water. Divrei Torah, program suggestions, stickers and Sukkah decorations are currently available on their website, and great more resources are coming soon.

 Lookstein Center's Remote Teacher Program
Lookstein Center's Remote Teacher Program addresses a current challenge facing Jewish education: the dearth of quality Jewish Studies teachers in small, isolated North American communities. The program gives these schools the opportunity to hire master Jewish Studies teachers residing in Israel. Using video conferencing technology, which allows for simultaneous audio and video broadcasting, the teachers in Israel teach full courses in North American schools. The program can still accommodate two more schools during the coming school year.
