We are delighted to send you the third issue of The MOFET JTEC Portal resource listing. Since the last issue we have received comments and requests from our readers expressing interest in the development of The MOFET JTEC Portal as an important resource on the Global Jewish education scene.

We are pleased to inform you that we will be presenting The MOFET JTEC Portal along with the entire MOFET global Jewish education initiative at the CAJE 33 Conference in Burlington, VT on Monday August 11, 2008. Get more information here. We hope to meet many of our subscribers face to face at CAJE.

Finding a Jewish Connection at a Family Camp in Hungary
A JTA Central European correspondent and his family join 80 Hungarian Jewish families for five days of Jewish retreat and activity at the famed Szarvas camp in southeastern Hungary. There, they strengthen their ties to the Jewish people and build their Jewish identity.
Hebrew Teachers' Seminar in Rome, Italy
The MOFET JTEC International Teachers' Training Project of the MOFET Institute in cooperation with World Ort held an intensive four day seminar for Italian Hebrew teachers in Rome this summer. Two Israeli teacher educators of MOFET Institute's Virtual Academy came to Rome to introduce the Italian Hebrew teachers to cutting edge technology to be used in the teaching of Hebrew in local Jewish schools.
Facing Tomorrow – The Israeli Presidential Conference, 2008 - Background Policy Documents
In preparation for Facing Tomorrow - The Israeli Presidential Conference May, 2008, The Jewish People Policy Planning Institute (JPPPI) published a volume of background and policy documents. The volume contains documents dealing with geopolitics, Jewish identity, science, technology, medicine and global economics, which were meant to provide the participants with the primary tools for making the conference deliberations as efficient, productive and inspired as possible.
Gilyonot Nechama Leibowitz – Nechama's Torah Worksheets
The Gilyonot Nechama website (in Hebrew) was launched in 2008 in order to preserve and make available the method of Torah study developed by Professor Nechama Leibowitz. The website contains all of the Torah worksheets published by Nechama over thirty years along with other learning resources to aid in their study.
Seventh Internet Surfer's Conference – Technology in Education: Essence or Simply a Shell?
The MOFET Institute in Tel Aviv convened it's seventh internet surfer's conference in order to examine the mutual influences of education and ICT and enable educational researchers and practitioners to share their findings and experiences in this area. Many of the presenters were faculty of Israel's teachers' colleges and the Mofet Institute researchers and staff.
