Jewish Disability Awareness & Inclusion Month (JDAIM) is a unified national initiative during the month of February to raise disability awareness and support efforts to foster inclusion in Jewish communities worldwide. Throughout the month of February, Whole Community Inclusion offers programs and resources to help raise awareness about and celebrate disability inclusion across the Greater Philadelphia Jewish Community.

Whole Community Inclusion is offering a two-day training that will provide information about understanding different types of learning challenges and resources to create accommodations and modifications for children of all abilities as they reach this Bar/Bat Mitzva. Experienced educators will share real life examples of successful adaptations for trope, prayer learning and working on Divrei Torah. Participants will also have an opportunity to problem-solve one-on-one with instructors about specific students, both during and after the training. The training will take place August 3rd and 4th, 2015, 9am–4pm at Jewish Learning Venture, Melrose Park, PA.

The Jewish Learning Venture of PA is now accepting applications for Cohort II: LeV: Getting to the Heart of Jewish Education 2013-2014. The goal of LeV is to guide congregations in rethinking and transforming the Jewish learning experience for elementary school age students and their families.
