PELIE is offering twenty fellowships to attend the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) 2012 conference, taking place on June 24-27 in San Diego, CA. Attending in pairs, each chosen team of two will receive conference registration for both members, plus $700 per team for expenses. By providing these fellowships, PELIE’s aim is to impact the field by offering more Jewish educators the opportunity to learn how the use of technology can enhance their work; fellows will develop communities of practice with like-minded Jewish and non-Jewish educators; and the field of part-time Jewish education will benefit from the fellows’ experiences.

The Partnership for Effective Learning in Education (PELIE) is launching a series of three regional conferences for complementary Jewish educators and administrators to help them 'leapfrop' ahead (kadima) in harnessing technology within the classroom. The first conference is scheduled to be held in Cleveland, Ohio on July 19, 2011. The conference is designed to be attended by teams of three who may be at varying levels. The conference design will provide a keynote by a thought leader on the field of educational technology as well as breakout sessions which offer participants a chance to experiment with technology tools in a safe, small group environment --meeting the learners where they are.

PELIE, the Partnership for Effective Learning in Education, believes it is vital for complementary Jewish educators to understand the potential of educational technology in order to better connect with their learners. In light of this belief, PELIE is awarding fourteen fellowships for the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) 2011 conference, taking place on June 26-29, in Philadelphia, PA. ISTE's annual conference and exposition is the world's premier educational technology event, where 20,000 enthusiastic education and technology professionals from 60 countries unite for four days of professional learning and collaboration.
