The ninth annual Jewish forum, “Yahad” (“All Together”) took place in Pärnu, Estonia on October 9-11, 2015. It was one of the most exciting community events of the year, which gathered Jewish people of all ages and from all across the country. Four hundred and seventy people have participated in Yahad 2015, among them around 70 children. This year, the traditional format of the Yahad forum was maintained with lectures, concerts, discussions, workshops and classes for children available during the course of the forum. At any given time during the forum’s program, there were numerous scheduled events taking place simultaneously, and participants were able to choose which topic is the most interesting to them.

New Reports Highlight Need for Reform of Hungarian Jewish Infrastructure and Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland
The renewal of Jewish life in Hungary and Poland comes under scrutiny in two reports published by JPR this week. The research, conducted by local experts on behalf of JPR and funded by the Rothschild Foundation (Hanadiv) Europe, was designed to assess the development of Jewish communities in East-Central Europe since the collapse of communism, as well as the challenges they face going forward.

The Jewish Student Union (JSU) is a national organization dedicated to establishing Jewish clubs in public high schools. Founded with 4 clubs in Los Angeles in 2002, JSU has enjoyed rapid growth and now serves more than 220 clubs across North America, reaching more than 9,000 teens annually. By fostering a social atmosphere, presenting engaging and entertaining educational programs, and lowering the barriers to participation, JSU reaches all types of teenagers from the under-engaged to the already involved.

The JAFI - Jewish Zionist Education content-rich website serves a diverse, worldwide audience - from senior professional educators to individuals seeking basic information - in five languages. It serves as a resource center for Israel-related issues with features such as 'Eye on Israel', which offers in-depth information on Israel's history, culture and society; Israel-Diaspora projects; and Jewish Time with quizzes, calendars and lifecycle insight.

Twenty three Jewish community leaders from around the world participated in an intensive three week Israel seminar organized by MOFET JTEC in cooperation with ”Soul Train”, a program of the Bnei Akiva Yeshiva Kfar Haroeh this July. The intensive, experiential seminar program enabled participants to acquire knowledge as well as practice Jewish activities and topics, creating a linkage to Israel, for the benefit of their communities.
