PEJE is proud to present two exciting development conferences—From Development to Advancement, for seasoned practitioners, and Beyond the Gala, for new development professionals—and one expanded admission conference — Growing Enrollment: A Two-Day Event for Admission Professionals, for newcomers and veterans to be held during the spring and summer months of 2011.

Some 200 events in communities and synagogues across North America during the month of May are marking Birthright Israel Month, which celebrates Taglit-Birthright Israel sending nearly 300,000 Jewish young adults on the ten day trip and raises awareness for its new goal of sending 51,000 participants annually – or one in every two young Jewish adults – beginning 2013. Birthright Israel Month was launched with a Mega Event in New York City on May 4, 2011 with over 1,000 alumni and 200 officials and guests attending. The month includes events in cities across North America for Birthright Israel alumni, special Birthright Shabbat celebrations at more than 100 synagogues, visits to communities by IDF soldiers who participated in Birthright Israel trips and special donor functions.

The past decade has seen a remarkable growth and revitalization of Jewish life across Europe. New initiatives are emerging in countries all over the continent, and people are connecting and reconnecting to Jewish life – culturally and spiritually. Paideia, ROI Community and JHub have played an integral part in these developments and work together towards a shared vision of a vital and vibrant Jewish culture in Europe. Join them in Uppsala this summer on August 2-16, 2011, for a string of events supporting, celebrating and discussing the new Jewish Europe.

PELIE, the Partnership for Effective Learning in Education, believes it is vital for complementary Jewish educators to understand the potential of educational technology in order to better connect with their learners. In light of this belief, PELIE is awarding fourteen fellowships for the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) 2011 conference, taking place on June 26-29, in Philadelphia, PA. ISTE's annual conference and exposition is the world's premier educational technology event, where 20,000 enthusiastic education and technology professionals from 60 countries unite for four days of professional learning and collaboration.
