August 5, 2015 marks the end of the 2015 Birthright Israel Excel Fellowship Program, a two-month internship program for American and Canadian college students that aims to build lasting relationships for the participants with Israel. The program is a branch of Taglit-Birthright, which sponsors free educational 10-day trips to Israel. The fellowship program – called Birthright Excel – is designed for sophomores, juniors and seniors in American and Canadian universities who want internships in the business and technology sectors.

MBA students who want to work in Israel on an internship now have an online resource that will help them make the right match. InsideIL is a new website and nonprofit organization with an online matching platform that helps students find internships at Israeli companies across a variety of industries including biotechnology, cyber security, venture capital, and e-commerce.

The Cohen Camps in New England are piloting an innovative approach this year, one with the potential to provide a solution that enhances the lives of our staff and our campers alike. Onward Israel has begun its second year of operation this month, bringing over 500 students on 22 programs from around the world to Israel, with the goal of eventually reaching thousands annually. The ultimate purpose of Onward Israel is to exponentially increase the number of Taglit and teen programs alumni who return to Israel for a transformative identity-building second visit, eventually reaching a stage where such experiences are available to all who want them and become a rite of passage for Jewish young adults throughout the Jewish world.
