The MOFET Institute in cooperation with the Israeli Ministry of Education invites teachers, administrators and the general public to an online seminar in Hebrew about digital text books in the education system in Israel and abroad. The online presentations and discussions will be held via the Elluminate platform on Thursday March 14, 2013 from 10:00 to 15:00. Participation is through an internet connected computer, headset and microphone.

Behrman House, the leading publisher of textbooks and digital learning materials for Jewish religious schools in North America, has entered a collaborative agreement with Israel’s Center for Educational Technology (CET). CET developed Israel’s premier and biggest online library encompassing over 1,000 Hebrew textbooks and information sources. The partnership will bring a first-of-its-kind online library to Jewish schools in the United States, giving students and educators access to both companies’ vast repository of educational offerings.

The Center for Educational Technology (CET) has announced its 40th anniversary conference, 'Shaping the Future: Reconstructing the Textbook in the Digital Age', which will take place on March 27-28, 2011 at Beit Hatfutsot - the Museum of the Jewish People (Tel-Aviv Univ.) and the CET campus. The Conference speakers hail from academic institutions, publishing, media and technological firms from Israel and abroad. Well known writers will also offer presentations.

The Center for Educational Technology recently launched a beta version of a Hebrew Digital Library. The library is presently made up of tens of nonfiction books, monographs, encyclopedias and lexicons dealing with the Land of Israel, its geography, history, culture, archeology, nature and society. Many current textbooks are also included on the website.
