'Eyes on Israel', CAMERA’s middle school and high school curriculum offers an exciting approach to learning about Israel, the Middle East and journalism, by focusing on media coverage of current events and relevant history. CAMERA is pleased to announce the second edition of' Eyes on Israel', which will be available in August 2012.

In spite of its successes in the field of education, Finland has chosen to adopt an educational system conceived in Israel. The program, conceived and developed by Professor Reuven Feuerstein, focuses on imparting cognitive and learning abilities and has already been implemented in hundreds of schools and education and training institutions in Israel and in 40 countries including the US, Holland, France, Brazil and Indonesia.

The latest SJED News Bulletin (IV, 7) has just been released with great technological learning and teaching resources for Jewish Schools, including teaching resources for Lag BaOmer and Shavuot especially for use on the SmartBoard.

Israeli-American and Jewish-American families across the United States are participating in a new children’s program through which they are mailed monthly – for free – a quality Jewish children’s book in Hebrew. Sifriyat Pijama B’America (SP-BA) provides an opportunity for young Jewish children, ages three to six, with or without Israeli roots, living in the United States, to sign up to receive free storybooks in Hebrew. The program is designed to strengthen participants’ Hebrew language proficiency and connections with Jewish values and culture, as well as develop a channel through which young Jewish children can spend more quality time at bedtime with their families in a positive, educational manner.
