We live in a time where knowledge is crowd-sourced, texts of all kinds (from books to music to art) are being re-mixed, and an abundance of information is accessible to all. As the People of the Book we are challenged with how to create meaningful educational encounters with Jewish texts in light of these and other changes.
The third session of the 2012-3 Jewish Futures Conference will be held at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in NYC on June 4, 2013 - 3:15pm-6:45pm. This session will explore the ways in which we are confronting the new realities of today's information age, featuring keynote speaker, Douglas Rushkoff.
Winner of the first Neil Postman award for Career Achievement in Public Intellectual Activity, Douglas Rushkoff is an author, teacher, and documentarian who focuses on the ways people, cultures, and institutions create, share, and influence each other's values.
