Using Technology to Transform Teaching and Learning

This free webinar, to be held on October 10, 2012, 7 PM Israel Time, 1 PM EST, will focus on how to utilize various technologies for teaching and learning. The technology tools featured will include Smart Boards and similar interactive whiteboards for dynamic lessons, Flipped Classroom videos for homework assignments, Google Earth for virtual field trips, Google Docs to promote cooperative learning, Google Forms for online student quizzes, real-time in-class student polling using cell phones, ideas for technology-enhanced student projects, and much more.

 

This webinar will be presented by Rabbi Tzvi Pittinsky, the Director of Educational Technology at the Frisch School in Paramus, NJ. Rabbi Pittinsky is an educational consultant for Gemara Berura, a technology enhanced methodology for teaching Talmud and is also a Smart Board Certified Teacher Trainer. Rabbi Pittinsky received his B.A., Semicha and 2 master’s degrees in Medieval Jewish History and Education from Yeshiva University and is currently a doctoral candidate at Yeshiva University’s Azrieli Graduate School of Education and Administration. He is a lecturer at the MOFET Online Academy, specializing in the use of educational technology in teaching Judaic studies.
