Israel Clicks! was designed as an experiment by The Jewish Education Center of Cleveland - a way to offer resources to teens and young adults in the wake of the summer 2014 conflict between Israel and Hamas. There's a confusing 'buzz' on campus and in the streets ... we thought a compendium of resources might help. The links and information provided on this site are not comprehensive - we were limited by what we found on the web AND by our own sense of being a 'critical consumer of information.'

In September 2014, JETS Israel initiated a new course on Modern Israel at Yeshivat Kadima in St. Louis. The students are currently studying the first unit of the year, which focuses on Tzuk Eitan – the Defensive Edge campaign that Israel waged this summer in Gaza. Using Tzuk Eitan as a jumping off point, the JETS course guides the students towards a deeper understanding of the background, events and consequences of this summer's military conflict with Gaza.

This study examines the reactions of a diverse group of young adults (applicants to Taglit-Birthright Israel) to the 2014 conflict in Gaza. The report compares their responses to the opinions of young adults in the U.S. The findings are based on a survey conducted in early August 2014 of a sample of U.S. based individuals who applied to the trip—both participants and nonparticipants--from 2011 to 2013. Survey questions focused on media consumption, opinions about Israel's and Hamas' action during the conflict, and support for Israel.
