The I.D.E.A. Schools Network is excited to announce the third annual East Coast Summer Sandbox to be held on August 3-5, 2015 at Yeshivat Noam, Paramus, NJ. The Sandbox will kick off on the evening of August 3 with a barbeque and will lead into two days, of beginner and intermediate/advanced workshops in Project-Based Learning (PBL).
Participants will explore the components of PBL, troubleshoot PBL units, learn how to incorporate artistic and edtech tools into the PBL classroom and find ways to spark creativity, connect with community, and engage students using multiple modalities. We will also address how to create a growth mindset, so that day schools can foster a culture in which PBL can flourish. Teachers, students, administrators, even parents and lay leaders are welcome.
The mission of the I.D.E.A. Schools Network is to help Jewish and independent schools implement Project-Based Learning and Educational Innovation. The network is based at the two Founding Schools, Magen David Yeshivah High School in Brooklyn, NY, and Valley Torah High School in Los Angeles, CA.
