Source: Legacy Heritage Institute

The Legacy Heritage Institute is a professional learning partnership between Gratz College and Jewish Early Childhood Education programs throughout the Delaware Valley. It offers free tuition to the educators from two select Jewish Early Childhood Education programs so they can partake in a three-year pilot program of intense coursework and other educational experiences.

The following services will be provided to the two Delaware Valley institutions chosen to participate in the Institute:
  • Onsite and online courses, enabling each staff member to earn a certificate in Early Jewish Childhood Education
  • Implementation of the Chalav u'Dvash program for teaching Hebrew to young children with the facilitation of an onsite specialist
  • Classes for parents in raising Jewish children
  • Meetings and conferences with experts in the field and Gratz College faculty

Programs interested in the Institute should file an application by May 6, 2009.
