Ivriyon is now accepting applications for the 2019 summer Ivriyon Hebrew Immersion Institute for Day School Educators (July 8-August 1, 2019). The Ivriyon summer institute prepares day school educators to teach Judaic subjects engagingly and effectively in Hebrew. The program combines intensive language immersion with powerful learning experiences to strengthen participating educators’ Hebrew language skills. The four-week program focuses on developing participants’ expressive skills through intensive communicative practice, writing, grammar review and vocabulary expansion. Participants will work with an Ivriyon mentor through the 2019-20 school year.

Master’s degree programs at the William Davidson Graduate School of Jewish Education are specifically designed to help students cultivate the skills and experience necessary to become sought-after, transformational leaders in Jewish education. Our programs are highly individualized, allowing students—under the guidance of an advisor—to tailor courses of study and practicum placements to their specific goals and interests.

The JustCity Leadership Institute (June 25–July 9, 2017) is JTS’s award-winning pre-college program, training high school students in the fundamentals of Jewish change leadership in collaboration with AVODAH: The Jewish Service Corps, Camp Ramah, United Synagogue Youth, and American Jewish Society for Service. JustCity brings rising juniors and seniors together to live on JTS’s New York City campus, take college-level courses, engage in social justice work, and build community through vibrant Jewish programming.

JustCity Leadership Institute is an innovative precollege program in Jewish change leadership, brought to you by The Jewish Theological Seminary, AVODAH: The Jewish Service Corps, Camp Ramah, and United Synagogue Youth. From Sunday, June 28, to Sunday, July 12, 2015, you will build a network of peers who are also committed to learning change leadership skills, positive social change, and bringing their newfound skills home so they too can make a difference in their communities. Students will live together in the JTS residence halls in single-sex suites, and engage in Jewish text study with JTS faculty. Afternoons will be devoted to learning in the field, and evenings and weekends will be spent further exploring New York City.
