The 7th Annual Hebrew Conference of North America is a continuation of a tradition initiated by the World Zionist Organization and is done in cooperation with the Council for Hebrew Language and Culture in North America and the North American Association of Hebrew Teachers (NAHeT). The Hebrew Conference literally celebrates the importance of Hebrew as a language, as a culture and as a key to identity. During these two days, November 17-18, 2019, in Newark NJ, there will be lectures, panels, and workshops dealing with Hebrew and the teaching of the language in all its aspects, ideology and methodology, inspirational sessions, practical tools and more. The theme of this year's conference is - Hebrew – The Time is Now! and will deal with the state of Hebrew instruction in North America, formulating ways of coping with the current challenges, and expanding the professional knowledge of Hebrew teachers - both in theory and in practice.

The Department of Education of the World Zionist Organization is pleased to announce a seminar for Hebrew teachers from the Diaspora, to be held in Israel on December 23-28, 2018. The seminar, which is being held for the third succesive year, aims to deepen the professional training of Hebrew teachers, to provide them with teaching tools, to improve their familiarity with Israeli culture, to develop a fruitful discussion about the state of Hebrew and its teaching and to develop Jewish educational leadership.

The Hebrew: Legacy of Innovation Conference, celebrates the importance of Hebrew as a language, as a culture and as a key to identity. This year's conference, to be held in Newark NJ on November 4-5, 2018, will mark the 70th anniversary of the State of Israel and will focus on Hebrew as a legacy of innovation - language and culture developing and bringing development. During the two days of the conference there will be lectures on the Hebrew language and inspirational sessions, discussions on ideological and methodological aspects related to the study of Hebrew as a second language, workshops offering practical tools, a program fair and more.

We are happy to invite you to a unique seminar on teaching Hebrew as a second language, run by the Education Department of the World Zionist Organization. The seminar will be held on February 4-9, 2018. The seminar will include lectures, workshops, tours and visits to various educational institutions and cultural events as part of the Conference on the Hebrew Language in Rishon Letzion, Israel (Lashon Rishon).

The Second International Symposium on Israel Education will bring together Jewish educators and decision-makers in a position to impact significantly on how and why Israel might be integrated into the educational environments with which they are involved for four days (July 17-20, 2017) of dialogue, encounters, field trips and reflection. Its underlying rationalization is the conviction that effective Israel education means facilitating exploration into the meaning of Israel in one’s own life, enabling students to make sense of Israel for themselves in a manner that will foster a personal and enriching relationship with the Jewish state while also motivating them to engage in building the Jewish future

8We are pleased to announce that the World Zionist Organization is holding another professional development seminar in Israel in the area of Israel Education for educators from abroad who wish to enhance their expertise in the field and deepen their personal understanding of contemporary Israel. The seminar will run from July 18-27, 2016 (9 nights) and is aimed at educators committed to the importance of Israel in the development of Jewish identity who are working with ages 13 and up in both formal and experiential settings. The itinerary will incorporate a rich variety of interactive ﬁeld experiences around the country, engagement with colorful Israeli personalities, and practical workshops during which particpants will have the opportunity to conceptualize curricula and develop lesson plans taking advantage of the wealth of materials available at the Herzl Museum and Educational Center and other lsrael-based educational institutions.

We are pleased to announce that the World Zionist Organization is holding another professional development seminar in Israel in the area of Israel Education for educators from abroad who wish to enhance their expertise in the field and deepen their personal understanding of contemporary Israel. The seminar will run from December 21-28, 2015 (8 nights) and is open to all educators (formal and experiential, day schools, supplementary schools, etc.) who are committed to the importance of Israel in the development of Jewish identity. The program will consist primarily of interactive field experiences but will also include practical workshops, content-based sessions and opportunities for personal enrichment.

The World Zionist Organization invites Jewish educators to participate in 8 days of professional development in Israel (July 8-15, 2015), From Altnueland to Tel Aviv: Vision, Reality, Tomorrow. This will be an in-service seminar grounded in a narrative of Israel education that understands the State of Israel as a work-in-progress, aimed at inspiring our learners to explore today's realities both against the background of the dreams of its visionaries and in light of the efforts of those who today are striving to fulfill them.
