The URJ Youth Engagement Conference has been re-envisioned to be an opportunity to gather the brightest and most dedicated youth professionals, clergy and lay leaders to network, learn together, and share best practices in Los Angeles, CA on February 15-19, 2013. There will also be opportunities to connect with teens from your congregation who are participating in the concurrent NFTY Convention.

 

The 2013 Youth Engagement Conference is a laboratory for learning and growth with the unique opportunity for dialogue, development, and networking for professionals and lay leaders who work with or are committed to youth.

  • New for this year – take part in an Engagement Laboratory: A chance to explore different ways to engage teens through the arts, Israel and worship.
  • Choose from dozens of skill-based workshops relating to different elements of engagement including: identifying, connecting and inviting youth,  building relationships, listening and asking big questions, participation, safe space and challenge, shaping, sharing and empowering
  • Help shape the agenda for the Campaign for Youth Engagement and get briefed on the CYE’s newest initiatives including:
  •  The B’nai Mitzvah Revolution 
  •  Plan for the re-imagining of NFTY Mitzvah Corps
  •  Our newest URJ Camp – 6 Points Science and Technology Academy


The Youth Engagement Conference runs concurrent to the NFTY Convention. There will be numerous opportunities to connect with teens from your congregation who are participating in the convention.
