This summer MOFET JTEC will again be conducting a special leadership seminar in Israel for leaders of Jewish communities in the Spanish speaking world. During the two week seminar, the participants will study, tour the country, and meet prominent Israeli individuals such as ministers, Members of the Knesset, Ministry of Education officials, leaders of social organizations, and much more. The group will learn and deliberate about issues and topics that are of interest and concern to Jewish communities in the Diaspora.

These discussions between the participants and seminar leaders will be continued after the seminar using advanced digital communications, thus creating a virtual social network enabling an ongoing fruitful relationship between the communities, the MOFET JTEC staff and the People of Israel.

Although the participating communities, especially those from South America (Argentina, Paraguay, and others), sometimes number no more than 60-100 families, they keep their Judaism and Zionism with a passion. Most of the leaders of these communities are not familiar with Israel, and they dream to visit it.

The seminar is open to leaders of Spanish speaking Jewish Communities involved in different aspects of community activity (formal and informal education, religious and social activities, etc.).
