This fall in New York City, the PresenTense Group and JESNA's Lippman Kanfer Institute will be holding a series of FutureTense Conversations around 'Innovation in Jewish Learning' for innovators in Jewish learning from a number of different settings to share insights, look more closely at new models of Jewish learning, and consider their implications for Jewish education in mainstream settings.

Over 100 students and teachers spent a month of intensive study and cultural immersion this summer at The Goldrich/Goldreich – Beth Shalom Aleichem International Yiddish Summer Program at Tel Aviv University. The program, now in its third year, provides language classes and workshops at five different levels of accomplishment from beginners to advanced learners. The participants, from around the world, also see Yiddish films, plays and concerts and enjoy Jewish food and storytelling.

Discover ways music can be used to enhance the teaching of Bible, holidays, history, Israel, Jewish values and Hebrew. Explore methods and materials for using music in formal and informal settings and at different age levels. If you love Jewish music, this class taught by Dr. Marsha Bryan Edelman, Professor of Music and Education, is for you, whether you're an experienced musician or a general classroom teacher.

The Marshall Jewish Learning Center at the Board of Jewish Education of Metropolitan Chicago proudly presents Edu-Palooza 2009 - three days of hands-on learning, text study and innovations to energize teachers for a new year of teaching. The conference will be held on Aug. 4-6, 2009 at the Chicago BJE.
