The 2011 Holocaust Seminar for Seminary and Religious Studies Faculty

The Committee on Church Relations and the Holocaust (CRC) of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum announces its annual faculty seminar. Applications from professors from all disciplines will be considered, but the seminar is designed particularly for professors of theology, ethics, and religion at theological schools and other institutions of advanced education. The seminar will take place from June 27 to July 1, 2011. This year’s seminar is titled: Transforming Troubling Tellings: The History of the Deicide Charge and the Holocaust.

Digital Jewish Education Forum - Inspiration through Education

On a rainy Tel Aviv day last week nearly eighty Israeli geeks, new media freaks and edtechies came together at the Heseg House - to see how they could collaborate in finding new ways to further Jewish Education locally and around the globe. The Digital Jewish Education Forum was conceived and convened by Leadel.net, a Jewish media hub promoting Jewish identity and activity in the 21st century, to launch Leadel EDU, and to start a discussion between educators, creators of new media and programmers about how they could join forces to harness 21st century technology and art to enrich Jewish education.

The Second North American Jewish Day School Conference Convenes in LA

Annual Teva Seminar on Jewish Environmental Education

The Annual Teva Seminar on Jewish Environmental Education will take place at Surprise lake Camp in Cold Spring, NY from May 31 - June 3, 2011. Torah scholars, farmers, educators, students and scientists will engage in environmental sustainability, camping, gardening and other topics of Jewish Environmentalism. Participants will engage in a dialogue about the connection between God, earth, and humanity, gaining the skills to bring it to various educational settings.

Pardes Day School Novice Teachers' Curriculum Workshop - 2011

The Pardes Summer Curriculum Workshop is aimed at new Judaic Studies teachers of grades 4-12, combining professional development with Judaic learning in Jerusalem. The cost of tuition, housing, and most meals is provided by grants and contributions. It is open to Judaic Studies teachers in North American day schools, who have been teaching for one to five years who will continue to do so in the coming school year.

Registration Opens for the MOFET JTEC Seminar in Israel for Spanish Speaking Diaspora Community Leaders – Summer, 2011

Registration has just opened for MOFET JTEC's special leadership seminar in Israel for leaders of Jewish communities in the Spanish speaking world. It will focus on Jewish leadership models throughout Jewish history to the present, on the analysis of the participants' management styles, and on designing ways to promote the participants' role as community leaders now and in the future. During the two week seminar, the participants will study, tour the country, and meet prominent Israelis such as ministers, Members of the Knesset, Ministry of Education officials, leaders of social organizations, and much more.
