Drisha’s five-week Summer Institute program is an exceptional learning experience for women of all ages and backgrounds from around the world who want to explore topics in Jewish learning and improve their textual skills. The program runs in NYC from July 2- August 3, 2012. It is possible to sign up for July Learning Institute courses on a part time basis.
Summer Institute courses include Biblical Hebrew, Talmud, Prayer, Tanakh, Halakha, Philosophy, and Theology. Courses are offered at two levels: Level I is for students with limited experience working with classical Jewish texts. Level II courses are for students with the ability to read and understand texts in Hebrew or Aramaic. Sample classes include Prayer, Scriptural Stories: Jewish and Muslim Exegesis, and The History of Liturgy.
