Agnon Writing Competition For Jewish High School Students Worldwide

The Agnon House in Jerusalem, together with ATID and WebYeshiva.org, announce a writing competition for Jewish high school students from around the world for works of prose or poetry written through the inspiration of S.Y. Agnon’s Nobel Prize winning Hebrew literature.

High School students who have studied S.Y. Agnon's works are invited to submit works of prose or poetry in Hebrew or English inspired by Agnon's writing. Submissions will be accepted until Sunday, March 17, 2013.

Prizes:

  • First prize: $100 and a book of Agnon’s writing
  • Second and Third Prizes: Volume of Agnon’s writings
  • All winners are invited for a private tour of the Agnon House with their families on their next visit to Jerusalem.

 
Educators can visit the WebYeshiva.org Agnon archives for recorded lessons and courses on Agnon’s stories and novels, archives of resource and teaching materials, for use in the classroom. These courses were delivered live at Agnon House in Jerusalem and broadcast via WebYeshiva.org.
