The Gandel Institute for Adult Jewish Learning, established by the Florence Melton Adult Mini-School, a project of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, offers study groups in Israel where adults can learn about Jewish culture. The Institute operates adult weekly group learning sessions all around Israel with an innovative sequential curriculum.

The Institute aims through weekly study, to provide each participant with the foundations of the different aspects of Jewish culture, from the Bible and Talmudic literature, to Jewish poetry and thought, Jewish way of life through the generations, to modern day Jewish culture.

The Institute's learning groups are lead by outstanding facilitators in the following regions of Israel: Northern settlements, Carmiel and the Misgav area, Haifa and the surrounding areas, Afula, Beit Shean, Hadera, Emek Hefer and Modi'in. New groups are constantly being opened in additional sites throughout Israel. Recently, Hebrew language learning groups have been opened in various locations in North America.

The Gandel Institute is the Israeli branch of the Florence Melton Adult Mini-School which operates in Jewish communities throughout the world, with over 60 centers in the US, Canada, England, Australia and South Africa. Participants in the Gandel Institute benefit from contact with their counterparts in Jewish communities abroad, all learning Jewish culture through the same method and a curriculum developed at the Melton Centre for Jewish Education at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
