This year’s North American Jewish Day School Conference (NAJDS) Conference, scheduled for February 3-5, 2013 in Washington, D.C., will offer a variety of learning opportunities to challenge and enhance leadership skills. These include building an effective team or having difficult conversations; habits of mind, such as reflection or evaluation of multiple, sometimes conflicting, data points; and attitudes, such as planning for succession or maintaining best practice within the context of shifting paradigms.
All those who lead — within individual schools, communities, or on a national level, both lay leaders and professionals — will wrestle with the most pressing and complex challenges facing our students, families, and schools today. They will benefit from interacting with peers, creative thinkers within the broader Jewish world, and experts from other, related sectors. With a program of nearly 50 presentations and workshops and dedicated networking time, the NAJDS Conference will create the traction to move our schools and communities forward with a deeper sense of communal purpose and confidence.
