Summer is the perfect time for day school leaders to reflect, dream, and plan on how to strengthen and improve their schools in the coming year. To help them do just that, AVI CHAI sponsors selected day schools leaders to attend one of two leadership institutes at The Principals’ Center at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Fifteen leaders attended the summer’s first institute, Improving Schools: The Art of Leadership (AOL), from June 21-27, 2015. The goal of the institute was to help identify areas of school improvement, establish priorities, develop strategies, and build a base of support around a change initiative.

The Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Education program offered in English by the International School at Levinsky College of Education in Tel-Aviv is intended for students, leading educators, and academics who are keen to devote an entire semester to studying: advanced pedagogy, educational entrepreneurship, and digital technology in the service of education. The semester-length program combines high-quality academic studies, professional encounters with leading entrepreneurs and educators, interesting experiences in the city of Tel Aviv, tours of Israel, study trips, and cultural evenings.

Mechon Hadar is holding a four-day Summer Institute on June 21-25, 2015 (Sunday afternoon through Thursday evening) which uses Hadar’s signature approach to Beit Midrash learning. This summer we will focus on broad themes from the Jewish Holidays, including forgiveness, change, holiness, authority, and renewal. Please note this is open to any educator or Jewish professional in the field and not strictly for people affiliated Mechon Hadar or the Schechter Network.
