The world of part-time Jewish education is changing rapidly. New models are emerging, both within congregations and beyond. A growing number of communities are engaged in initiatives to foster broad-scale improvement. And, national actors are accelerating their efforts to seed innovation and support local change. What can we learn from and what will be the impact of all this activity? Will today's alternative models become tomorrow's norm? What will this mean for children and their families, for institutions and communities, innovators and funders? JESNA is holding a series of three convenings for professional and lay leaders involved with complementary education to discuss these important questions.

In 1999, JESNA co-created a series of guidebooks for Jewish education leaders called Israel in Our Lives. Each guidebook in the series is intended for a different setting in North American Jewish education, from early childhood education, to Central Agencies, to camping, adult education, and more. JESNA is thrilled to share the good news that this series is now freely available for download in the Sosland Online Resource Center. JESNA invites you to explore and share these resources with your colleagues and constituents.

The fourth publication in the 'Making Jewish Education Work' series of JESNA's Publications and Dissemination Project, this report, based on JESNA's Berman Center evaluations and LCC reports on Jewish education professional programs, aims to serve as a guide for those who design and implement professional development programs for educators.

Jewish Education 3.0 (JE3), a project of JESNA's Lippman Kanfer Institute, brings together visionary thinkers and practitioners to explore Jewish learning in a digital age and implications for individuals and the Jewish community. Their work is guided by the new opportunities and challenges presented by emerging educational, socio-cultural, and technical shifts in learning and the infrastructures that can support it. This online publication, through their core narrative, essay contributions, a blog, resources and news stories, touches on the deeper question and implications of what it means to “do” Jewish education in a 21st century digital world.
