Registration is now open for the Paideia One Year Jewish Studies Program which offers a unique international Jewish studies experience during eight months in Stockholm, Sweden with the possibility of completing a 120 ECTS Master in Jewish Civilizations degree at the Hochschule für Jüdische Studien in Heidelberg, Germany. The studies are conducted five days a week, seven hours per day, under the instruction of world-renowned faculty. The program includes two year-long courses in Bible and Talmud; eleven intensive text courses running chronologically from Torah and Midrash, through Medieval Jewish Philosophy and Responsa Literature to Modern Jewish Philosophy and Literature; as well as various courses on Jewish life, calendar and holidays in relation to contemporary Jewish issues.

The Rothschild Foundation (Hanadiv) Europe, in conjunction with Paideia, the European Institute for Jewish Studies are sponsoring a seminar for European Jewish museum professionals who are in a position to impact the future of their institutions and to rethink the mission of Jewish museums in a changing environment. Participants will explore the current situation and challenges and together help develop new visions for European Jewish museums.

The Paideia Project Incubator is a program for activists and entrepreneurs for Jewish culture who want to develop new projects in the educational, cultural, communal and institutional fields. The Incubator offers professional and experienced faculty and an intensive, effective studying program including lectures, workshops, peer-groups, courses in Jewish Textual Studies, individual counseling, and meetings with foundation representatives – all aimed at promoting, guiding and advancing participants projects.

The application period for the 2011/2012 one-year Jewish Studies Program at Paideia - the European Institute for Jewish Studies in Stockholm, Sweden is now open. Qualified candidates will receive tuition free studies as well as a stipend meant to free them from work while attending the program.

The Paideia Project-Incubator is a ten day interactive workshop where 30 activists of Jewish culture from all over Europe gather to develop projects for Jewish culture in Europe. The intensive program consists of Jewish textual studies, project-development workshops and personal tutoring.

Dedicated to the revival of European Jewish culture, Paideia, in Stockholm, Sweden, was created in 2001 through foundational grants from the Swedish government and the Wallenberg foundation. Paideia’s main program is a highly intensive One Year Jewish Studies Program taught by world-renowned Israeli faculty. The program is ten months long, five days a week, seven hours per day.
