The Bar/Bat Mitzvah in Jerusalem website sponsored by The Israel Ministry of Tourism and The Jerusalem Tourism Authority provides the information one would need to plan a Bar/Bat Mitzvah celebration in Jerusalem. The site, written in Hebrew, English and French, is rich in useful multimedia and textual information, including possible Jerusalem venues for the celebration and family tours, suggested travel agencies and hotels.

The Alexander Muss Institute for Israel Education has been conducting high school programs in Israel for North American Jewish students since 1972. Over 19,000 AMIIE alumni have experienced the excitement and the challenge of study, travel and social growth in Israel. AMIE offers programs for individual students, day and community schools as well as for adults on its Hod Hasharon campus.

Twenty three Jewish community leaders from around the world participated in an intensive three week Israel seminar organized by MOFET JTEC in cooperation with ”Soul Train”, a program of the Bnei Akiva Yeshiva Kfar Haroeh this July. The intensive, experiential seminar program enabled participants to acquire knowledge as well as practice Jewish activities and topics, creating a linkage to Israel, for the benefit of their communities.

MASA was established as a joint project by the Jewish Agency and the Prime Minister’s office under Ariel Sharon in 2004 to enable thousands of Jewish young adults to spend a semester to a year in Israel on over 150 approved programs. Since its inception, MASA has made it possible for 27,000 people to live, work, study and volunteer in Israel.

Registration for this summer's Taglit-Birthright Israel trips has broken all previous records. More than 40,000 young adults from North America have applied to participate. Brandeis University researchers report that there is no consistent evidence in surveys conducted among national samples of American Jews that either younger individuals, or adults, have grown more distant from Israel.
